With regular communications with VP, Hope Lodge and Facilities Management is directly responsible for the successful delivery of all facilities management related services repair and maintenance (R&M), environmental health & safety (EH&S), critical environments, physical security, emergency preparation, disaster recovery, business continuity, furniture fixtures & equipment (FF&E) installation/maintenance/inventory, break room services, budget development tracking and variance reporting for all American Cancer Society facilities and properties placing emphasis on excellent customer service, operational efficiency, and aligning with Regional and Enterprise goals and objectives.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ultimately responsible for the delivery of all Facilities Management services, vendors, programs, initiatives and staff performance for entire American Cancer Society portfolio of facilities and properties.
- Leads all facilities management operations, including communications, systems, security, health & safety, mechanical and electrical and building services, and procurement --including through the management of external vendors and contractors.
- Drives initiatives to reduce operating costs, increase efficiencies, maximize return on property investments, prolong asset useful life, ensure safety, and improve property value (where applicable).
- Responsible for creation, tracking and management of specific and quantifiable Facilities Management service level agreements (SLA’s) and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to ensure ACS client staff is supported effectively and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain initiatives to ensure compliance with goals, objectives, required metrics, planning and scheduling deadlines, budget requirements, and proper reporting and documentation management.
- Oversight of mission-critical engineering operations, building mechanical and maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life/safety, and will serve as the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) subject matter expert
- Provide leadership, management and technical oversight for all facilities which includes critical environments and associated equipment & systems. Ensure proper engineering procedures and standards are being practiced and maintained. Ensure that facilities are operated and maintained safely, efficiently and in first-class condition in compliance with the budget and financial plan.
- Provide technical oversight for the design and implementation of the preventative maintenance program in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and industry best practices and develop OSHA compliant policies and procedures, as necessary.
- Review & maintain operations, maintenance and capital improvements of all Life Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Elevator systems required to operate the facilities.
- Provide leadership and management support to Facilities Management staff that have responsibility for day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facilities within the American Cancer Society portfolio.
- Participate in and contribute to all emergency preparation, disaster recovery, pandemic planning, and business continuity plans, materials, trainings, activities, etc. representing the Facilities Management operations.
- Ensures Facilities Management procedures comply with local, state and federal regulations.
- Implement and enforce workplace standards and initiatives.
- Direct supervision of Facilities Management staff and indirect supervision of related contractors, vendors and service providers.
- Responsible for management, coaching, and development of subordinate staff, including to develop and deliver training methods, materials and programs for all subordinate members of Facilities Management.
