Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a Specialist – Habitat Hammers Back. This position is responsible for coordinating the support services essential to the functioning and effective implementation of Habitat Hammers Back (HHB) Initiative and its programmatic activities.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Information Management

  • Establish and maintain an electronic filing system for HHB (Sharepoint, My.Habitat, Smartsheets, etc.) to ensure institutional knowledge
  • Maintain the My.Habitat and portal sites for HHB
  • Designs and maintains reporting needs from affiliates to HFHI
  • Data Collection from affiliates and SSOs for reporting
  • Data management for HFHI issued grants to HHB entities
  • Maintains records of Habitat assets and personnel movement throughout the response
  • Supports the overall Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning function of HHB
  • Proactively identifies and collects information that can be utlized by the communications team for sharing the successes and 'stories' of HHB

Resource Development

  • Maintains a resource directory with needs from/to affiliates from/to HFHI such as GIK, volunteerism, etc.
  • Supports in preparing reporting needs as required from donors
  • Supports the VIE team in volunteer placement for HHB entities

Project Coordination

  • Maintains the HHB team plan and updates
    Manages special projects as necessary
    Support the identification and monitoring of partnerships within HHB

Communications

  • Establish metrics for HHB communications with the goal of an informative and engaging tone and content
  • Create and maintains general communication email box
  • Manages communication matrix to HHB entities, including reporting requests and monthly newsletters
  • Drafts communication materials for HHB
  • Updates HFHI Communications team with social media input, impact stories, Talking Points or FAQs updates
  • Updates to US Office and Affiliate Support Center, including newsletters
  • Support in the creation of collateral materials for the HHB team (i.e. ppt, briefings, etc.)

Case Management System Coordination

  • Create and maintain case management system and protocol
    Liaises with all appr​opriate team members and sign-off stakeholders for scheduling and file reviews/approval

Affiliate Support

  • Supports affiliate needs to operate with excellence as identified within the case management system
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team to accomplish a mission.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Travel: 20-30%

Preferred:

  • At least 1 years experience working in a disaster response setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience in non-profit program management strongly preferred.
