Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Senior Specialist - Talent Acquisition. This position will daily bring about HFHI's mission - "A world where everyone has a decent place to live" - by attracting and securing top quality talent for the organization. This position will be based at HFHI's Global Administrative Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assist the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition in all processes related to recruitment operations for HFHI, including but not limited to: sourcing, internal posting process, advertising media selection, and selection and implementation of interviewing methodologies and tools.
  • Participate in conducting and leading new hire Orientation and other On-Boarding or Talent Acquisition managed Orientations.
  • Recruit positions assigned by the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, including but not limited to screening, interviewing and making initial selection of candidates primarily for assigned positions, may be asked to support recruitment of volunteers, interns and AmeriCorps members.
  • Reviewing and posting job vacancy information, including details such as duties involved and other information required to complete a successful identification, selection and hire.
  • Ensuring completion of reference and background checks on selected candidates and review any concerns, inconsistencies or other issues with Senior Director, Talent Acquisition.
  • Answering inquiries from Habitat managers and job seekers about current job vacancies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Talent Acquisition departmental leadership.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years
  • Extensive working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven success in upper level recruitment, including having previously filled Director level positions
  • Ability to multi-task, managing multiple assignments, priorities and objectives simultaneously
  • Ability to work successfully with a large number and variety of clients and internal leadership, successfully managing the process and facilitating decisions
  • Ability to train, motivate and successfully influence others in staffing, HR and other disciplines
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational, and tactical staffing and selection plans; strategic sourcing, manpower and technology plans
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision
  • Computer competency in major Microsoft Office applications, applicant tracking systems and HRIS related software
