Responsible for the cultivation and management of the BrightEdge Philanthropic Impact Fund donors developed through the identification, relationship building, solicitation and stewardship of effective leverage with volunteers, board members, corporate leaders, foundations, current and prospective donors. Through effective pipeline management, qualifies and secures funding from donors capable of giving $1,000,000+ and assure donor retention strategies are successfully executed.
This position will be located in our Global Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
- Build relationships with board members, corporate representatives, foundations, current and prospective high net worth and ultra-high net worth donors toward qualifying and setting fundraising pitches for senior leadership, including BrightEdge Managing Director of BrightEdge, CFO and CEO of the American Cancer Society
- Manage a portfolio of 125 – 150 impact donors and potential impact donors. Create and execute a strategic management plan for each qualified donor in portfolio
- Work with the corporate and market leadership, development, and communications team to secure and disseminate appropriate information to create opportunities to execute solicitations
- Create and submit monthly reports as required to management that accurately reflect donor pipeline, activity and performance.
- Secure a minimum of $15,000,000 in major gifts in first year, and develop a pipeline of $30,000,000
- Hold a minimum of 220 face-to-face visits with qualified impact donors.
- Set a minimum of 150 in person fundraising pitches for senior leadership with individuals, corporations, and foundations to achieve fundraising goal
- Supporting the effective development of fundraising strategy, trips, and meetings for senior leadership
- Supporting nationwide solicitation of individual, corporate and foundation prospects
- Collaborates with Executive Vice Presidents, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Principle Partnerships, the office of the CEO, the office of the CFO, Communications/Marketing to ensure coordinated and systematic strategy
- Maintains a productive and collaborative relationships with the Society’s global headquarters departments and other regions
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have a 5+ year proven track record of securing $1,000,000+ gifts or equivalent experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as is computer proficiency.
- Extensive knowledge of the oncology space is a plus including research, patient services and care, global awareness and innovation is a plus.

- Strong working knowledge of the major gifts area; sales management and campaign experience is highly desirables.

- Ability to establish collegial, effective working relationships and partner with staff and volunteers.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Ability to drive lead generation for individual and corporate major giving opportunities.
- The ability to be an ambassador for the American Cancer Society.
- Ability to understand work within a complex organizational structure.
- Experience with CRM and Microsoft Office software required.Some travel will be required.
