Purchasing & Corporate Travel Manager

The Purchasing and Corporate Travel Manager (PCTM) will serve as a critical member of the Finance Department. This individual will be responsible for and manage Habitat for Humanity International's entire purchasing operation and corporate travel function, in partnership with all levels of the organization. The PCTM will be required to maintain, upgrade and implement systems, create, develop & facilitate training, while improving and enforcing policies and procedures. This leader will manage one direct report and report to the Controller. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Identify opportunities where contract negotiations and operational experience will reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Create Request For Proposal's, research products, recommend vendors and solutions and implement approved solutions.
  • Manage the relationship with the corporate travel vendor and manage the online expense reimbursement system.
  • Supervise daily activities of Purchasing & Travel Administrator, providing coaching and feedback on a timely basis
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree - Finance or Business majors (preferred)
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5-7+ minimum Years of Related Work Experience
  • Proven experience finding solutions to organizational purchasing and travel needs
  • Proven ability to create, implement and monitor standard processes, creativity in identifying needs and solutions
  • Strong negotiating skills and proven ability to identify and implement cost effective and efficient processes
  • Ability to read and analyze and modify contracts when negotiating – providing favorable business terms
  • Strong knowledge of standard purchasing practices
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal skills required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams through a decision making process

Preferred:

  • International Purchasing and Travel experience
  • Strong business travel planning/management experience
  • Experience with Infor Expense Management System
  • Knowledge of Navision and similar General Ledger software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
