Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Resource Development Disaster Project Manager. The Resource Development (RD) Disaster Project Manager serves as the point person for the Habitat Hammers Back strategic initiative in RD.
This position acts as liaison between RD, the Habitat Hammers Back Project Management Unit, and other teams; creates and maintains RD systems and structures to access information (online /face to face training) in support of the Habitat Hammers Back strategic initiative; coordinates content development including donor reporting and communication strategy working cross-divisionally; and manages projects with RD colleagues related to collaborative resource development and implementation for Disaster Response, ensuring streamlined enterprise-wide coordination. This position is primarily funded via grant funds and is reviewed annually in relation to ongoing grant funded support for the continuation of the position.
- Project Management - Serves as the point person within the RD division for the Habitat Hammers Back strategic initiative to coordinate needs across departments; supports VP of CSO to manage the Habitat Hammers Back strategic initiative; supports short/long term planning, monitoring of on-going activities and balancing competing priorities within constrained timeframes; proactively seek and lead opportunities for continuous improvement across the division (25%).
- Information Management - Manages information management regarding the disaster response in coordination with the Habitat Hammers Back Project Management Unit, Disaster Response, Communications, and other teams. Oversees efforts to establish systems and structures which facilitate online dissemination of materials, and organizes and monitors face-to-face trainings with subject matter experts and fundraising team in effort to increase the fundraising opportunities. Maintains online divisional site for Disasters (10%).
- Content Development & Relationship Management – Proactively coordinates the creation of content in support of Habitat Hammers Back including the donor reporting and communication strategy. This requires cross-functional engagement and development of marketing material for a variety of communications projects. - - Develop and manage relationships within RD and liaise across organization to advance the Habitat Hammers Back initiative and overall effectiveness of the RD division in support of the initiative (30%).
- Donated Product Management - Works with Director of Donated Product on disaster risk reduction and response GIK procurement strategy, supply chain logistics and stewardship plan; identify standard GIK needed in the field for disaster risk reduction, mitigation, business continuity, response and long-term recovery.
- Meeting Coordination and Facilitation – Support and facilitate key meetings and strategy sessions including agenda setting, content coordination, action items, assignments, timelines; follow up to ensure progress against new deliverables and next steps (5%).
- Analysis/Reporting - Uses data driven evidence to influence changes to processes, prepares and consolidates feedback from key stakeholders within the Habitat Hammers Back initiative, prepares reports as needed (10%).
- High degree of self-reliance and resourcefulness to lead processes that may not be clearly defined and are constantly evolving with an action oriented mindset; influence without formal authority; creative problem-solver.
- Excellent team organizational skills.
- Collaboration with multiple HFHI departments is key.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Experience managing large, complex projects serving a range of large (preferably multinational) clients and/or implementing major projects for large non-profit organizations is desired.
- Required previous project management experience preferably in a business environment or large non-profit.
- Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate across the organization.
