Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a Manager of Storytelling and Brand Special Projects. Reporting to the Senior Director of Storytelling, Brand and Digital Channels, the Manager is responsible for content projects of varying scope that highlight key aspects of our program work, help meet fundraising and partner recognition needs, and promote Habitat’s mission and messages, all while supporting and reinforcing the organization’s overall brand strategy. In doing so, the Manager is responsible for key collaborations with other Communications staff and with colleagues in Development and Habitat’s various program areas.

The Manager helps develop content plans for special projects and then works with stakeholders and various content creators to complete. Through collaboration and partnership, the Manager ensures that special projects content meets the needs of program and fundraising stakeholders, while fully adhering to brand guidelines and helping to maximize the content marketing potential of such content. Special projects can range from content collaborations for habitat.org, annual report, special events coverage, flagship publication and other key efforts and include creation of branded content for partner recognition for digital and print. This position will be based in our administrative headquarters office in Atlanta, GA.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Director of Storytelling, Brand and Digital Channels to develop and implement content plans for identified special projects.
  • Play a lead role in shaping, creating and packaging content for special projects.
  • Liaise with colleagues in other work groups and departments from content project concept to content project completion.
  • Work to ensure all projects fulfill and steward organizational brand strategy.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related fields.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 years of creative agency, corporate brand content/creative, and/or development office experience required.
  • Proficiency in building creative concepts and demonstrated ability to see projects through to completion.
  • Ability to write, edit, evaluate and curate content and design to meet brand, marketing and messaging needs.
  • Ability to lead the creation of complete content packages; established experience with photo selection, design collaboration, video scripting, etc., all in the service of furthering and maintaining brand standards.
  • Strong communications and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with a variety of departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience with content marketing, creative campaigns, social platforms and SEO preferred.

Preferred:

  • Previous nonprofit and/or fundraising experience a plus.
