Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented and motivated professional to serve as Habitat Hammers Back (HHB) Program Quality Lead. This hire will report to a Director and be charged at overseeing the Program Quality Strategy, Project Management, and Program Learning & Innovation initiatives of the department.
The position involves 20-30% travel to various post-disaster locations across the country and must be available outside of traditional office hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet unpredictable business needs.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Contributes to the development and implementation of the overall HHB program quality strategy and operational plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements amongst impacted Habitat entities
- Ensures compliance of programming with best practices within the Housing and Disaster Response Sectors
- Aligns programs with relevant HFHI policies & Housing Industry and Disaster Response Sectors
- Supports the research function ensuring the relevance of programs and operations
- Supports program design through concept notes, proposals, research papers, communities of practice, situation reports, etc.
- Establish and maintain metrics reporting and project management plans
- Works cross-functionally with headquarters staff and other departments locally to ensure effective program delivery
- Supports the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) function for HHB
- Promotes a culture of learning and operational excellence across the Habitat entities
- Develops and implements effective reporting and learning mechanisms to capture programming lessons and outcomes
- Contributes to the program learning of internal and external audiences through documentation of lessons learned, best practices and relevant materials.
- Participates in relevant working groups, partnerships or collaborations to enhance the strategy of HHB's work
