Reporting to the Director of the Habitat Development Council (HDC), the HDC Manager is an essential resource to the implementation of the initiative to grow the organization's group of international major givers. The Habitat Development Council is a collective of the world’s most distinguished business, political and community leaders who lend their support, expertise, and resources to shape Habitat for Humanity’s presence around the world.
This position is responsible for planning and managing implementation plans, executing day-to-day management of all operational issues, and working with major giving teams in Habitat's 3 Area Offices around the world. Ultimately ensuring that the team is operating smoothly to ensure the overall satisfaction of donors and other HDC members worldwide.
Habitat Development Council - Overall Initiative Support
- Steward global donor engagement representing the Chair of HDC to enhance the 'one HDC global' team effort.
- Oversee all HDC Communications and executive reporting on progress of the HDC initiative.
- Manage donor research efforts and connections from the different HDC areas to maximze the networking opportunities.
- Track progress on HDC members specific initiatives to share through communications channels.
- Manage the development, monitoring and reporting on each Area Office's international major giving fundraising plan to meet/exceed team revenue and engagement goals.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration needed for successful implementation of the initiative with Area Office teams, Finance, Communications, Legal and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
Project Execution & Monitoring
- Manage the day-to-day ongoing operational aspects of the team.
- Execute all project management processes including managing SharePoint file system to host all documentation.
- Create agendas/draft talking points for internal and donor meetings & calls; develop pre-reads and prepare appropriate participants; draft meeting notes/highlights & action items.
- Ensure all HDC activities/results are monitored & reported in a professional manner to internal and external stake holders.
- Monitor, compile and route biweekly/monthly/quarterly reporting from Area Office teams to appropriate stakeholders .
Additional Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in sharing of best practices with relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in department and organizational meetings, events and initiatives.
- Develop written correspondence and online communication for Council members including but not limited to, newsletters, gift acknowledgements, welcome letters etc.
- Assist HDC Director in developing tailored proposals for Council members.
- 5+ Years related experience with demonstrated success in project management.
- Project management support experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent time-management, communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization (both internal and external).
- Superior analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Prior experience in nonprofit and/or international environment a plus.
- A commitment to community service and nonprofits is essential.
- Experience managing and coordinating special events.
- Experience arranging complex and detailed international travel plans, itineraries, and agendas.
- Experience preparing business correspondence, marketing materials and reports.
- Editing and proofreading skills.
