Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a diligent professional to join our Finance team as a Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Sr. Director - Financial Planning and Analyst, the Financial Analyst will serve as the financial coordinator of the US Operations division with an initial focus on Neighborhood Revitalization. This position will be located in our Administrative Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Lead processes and act as primary point of contact between the US Ops team and the finance team Grant Compliance & Donor Reporting (GCDR), Financial Reporting, procurement, payables
  • Oversee relationship with Human Resources on personnel time activity reporting and payroll processes and monitor expenses for staff charged or matched to grants
  • Lead the US Ops team through budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and quarterly reviews for the overall US Ops program efforts
  • Monitor pending and approved grants against program and division budgets, highlighting funding gaps and goals 
  • Support US Ops efforts in applying for grant and other funding, including costing out proposed activities, factoring in existing revenue sources (match/cost share), and adhering to donor budgetary guidelines
  • Ensure HFHI financial policies are followed within the efforts of all US Ops programs
  • Coordinate with program team and GCDR to ensure program and grant requirements are understood and that implementation is in compliance with donor intent.
  • Work within HFHI processes and/or develop additional tools to monitor all revenue and expenditures for each grant and the overall division
  • Collaborate with HFHI Senior Finance staff to ensure existing system and personnel resources are leveraged and/or augmented as necessary
  • Steward a schedule of regular monthly reports to provide direct programmatic financial analysis and flag areas of concern
  • Follow up with division and program leads to develop and administer solutions for areas of concern; serve as lead on all follow-up actions
  • Develop an easily accessible financial report archive with clear action plans and follow-ups by finance and program managers after each reporting period 
  • Train and supervise US Ops program managers and other program staff in finance/accounting for project funds to ensure funds are expended as necessary and ensure general ledger properly reflects eligible expenditures
Educational Background: 
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Related Field
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 3 years of Financial Analysis or Grant Accounting
  • Highly skilled in the use of PC and peripherals
  • Utilize Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Tableau and other software a plus
  • Modeling of business trends and key performance indicators preferred
