Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Director of Resource Development Data Management. The Director of Resource Development Data Management will lead a team focused on establishing new protocol for improving data quality for Habitat for Humanity International. In addition, the director will serve in a critical role for a Data Governance Team for cross departmental collaboration in order to establish organizational policies and procedures for improved data management.

Also, providing direction for the Resource Development Data Management team to implement and maintain efficient and accurate data management best practices that improve data quality through Continuous Improvement. The position will provide analytical reporting, queries and dashboards for Senior level leaders to manage fundraising progress. This position will be based in Atlanta, GA.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Development, implementation and documentation of data quality standards and processes (45%):

  • Oversee development and implementation of data quality standards and processes utilizing industry best practices for excellent data quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (various systems and processes) when establishing HFHI data processes and standards.
  • Oversee use and documentation of procedures for data preparation including data cleaning, standardization and analysis
  • Implement and enforce proper data collection policies and procedures
  • Oversee training for database users on best practices, policies and procedures
  • Serve as team leader for Data Governance Committee (liaisons from across HFHI)
  • Manage job aids and Visio workflows for data management
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement Methodologies in all aspects of data management

Reporting and Analytics for Resource Development's fundraising initiatives(40%):

  • Partners with senior-level leaders to translate business needs into measurement plans that drive timely and relevant decisions for business performance
  • Deploys results of complex analytical results in a simple and compelling message that is intuitive to senior-level leaders and inspires action
  • Establishes appropriate measures of success and develops dashboards and reports that measure financial and customer success across multiple channels, objectives, and/or campaigns (queries, reports and dashboards)
  • Deploys relevant methodologies, in collaboration with business partners, that allow for rapid and efficient root cause analyses to understand drivers of performance and impacts to KPIs that can be deployed to impact business outcomes
  • Teams up with peers in IT to drive data connectivity recommendations to ensure holistic and seamless reporting of relevant KPIs, regardless of structure or system
  • Ensures appropriate analysis is conducted for optimal results and efficiency by understanding business concepts and functional data domains
  • Understand and support privacy law standards
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual data reports for distribution
  • Develop ad-hoc queries and reports as necessary
  • Develop and maintain a limited access report portal for RD

Manage team and budget (15%):

  • Manage team, leading, coaching, and providing training and career development opportunities to department staff. Manage department budget and expenses
  • Align the team’s time and effort on projects that are critical to business success; delegates the right tasks and decisions to the people who are in the best position to execute them
  • Serve as liaison for RD's IT requests
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 10 years of professional related experience
  • Experience with and understanding of data quality management (DQM) program standards
  • Excellent organizational skills, oral & written communications; Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Collaborates with Management to find solutions, maintain trust based relationships, and has the propensity to be accountable for the creation and development of an annual budget and subsequent financial reporting
  • A strong personal and professional credibility, personal integrity and the ability to lead a team
  • Computer literate with the ability to use MS Office, spreadsheet and database management software proficiently
  • Knowledge of & experience in Fundraising Operations & Continuous Improvement Methodologies
  • Experience and proven ability to motivate, develop and lead a diverse team

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in implementing a data governance framework
