The Director of Enterprise Shared Services is responsible for leading the operational functions, including strategic business planning, Enterprise Shared Services process development, organizational activities, and event administrative and system.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Represent respective region on the Enterprise Shared Services Council to ensure integration and promotion of national plans and activities, Enterprise Shared Services strategic direction. 
  • Hire, orient, manage and coach a team of direct reports. Plan performance expectations, monitor and appraise the team member’s job results and performance in order to develop, coach and recognize direct reports. Utilize both distance and in-person meetings to provide ongoing assistance and promote employee engagement.
  • Assess Region or market operational performance and develop processes and procedures to create optimum performance. 
  • Participate in the creation of Enterprise Shared Services strategy, policies and procedures for the enterprise. Oversee the execution of nationally set Enterprise Shared Services strategy and policies for the region, including procurement, workplace management, and data entry. Communicate policy for consistent market delivery. Solicit requirements from the market level and communicate feedback to the national level. Serve as an escalation point for market-level needs.
  • Oversee all Enterprise Shared Services tasks related to event setup and tracking in CRM, FRED and AmPro. This includes event setup, revenue entry, data input and analysis, financial tracking and preparation for day-of or night-of event execution. Identify areas of highest need to inform resourcing strategy. Establish and enforce policies and provide support at the local level. Facilitate bi-directional communication and feedback between the markets and the National Office for consistent data entry. Deliver data entry and analysis services locally as a service to the field.
  • Establish standards of performance and measures to achieve goals; approve progress checks, provide specific recommendations on how to achieve targets, and plan and schedule changes in order to effectively manage the execution of all fundraising events from an operational standpoint.
  • Facilitate the lease clearance process from start to finish for market offices. Provide “on the ground” experience to inform workplace strategy. Execute strategy and work with region and market leadership to ensure proper usage of space and virtual work options.
  • Assess and identify short and long range issues that must be addressed, and develop objectives and strategies to ensure successful attainment of Enterprise Shared Services excellence in all functional areas of the Foundation.
  • Work with VP Enterprise Shared Services to establish and manage national contracts and guidelines based on market and geography input. Provide management control over all market equipment and supplies. Negotiate agreements and maintenance contracts for all new and existing equipment. Conduct annual inventory of all supplies and equipment.
  • Review all and approve all proposed contracts including all building and equipment leases, all contracts for meeting space, and event services. Present all options to the Executive Director of Market Development for a decision under the guidance of the Vice President. Ensure adherence to the competitive bid process for all contracts over $5,000. Provide “on the ground” experience to inform procurement strategy. Execute strategy; monitor lease compliance; conduct local procurement.
  • Accountable for all operational tasks required in CRM to enter, approve and commit all market annual gifts from board members, volunteers and unsolicited donors. Periodically review and validate data and pull reports to ensure all commitments have been fulfilled.
  • Identify candidates for volunteer roles to assist with operational and event support activities. Develop a pool of qualified volunteers to assist as required to ensure the successful execution of all administrative tasks including reception, preparation of materials for events and mailings, and fundraising event support.
  • Evangelize the use of organizational tools and technology within the markets. Utilize electronic data management tools in order to review and analyze pertinent information and monitor financial and mission related results.
  • Perform other duties from time-to-time in order to ensure the attainment of market goals.
Educational Background: 
Four year college degree or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 10 to 12 years of directly related work experience in increasingly responsible positions of relevant experience
