Director - Affiliate Experience Center

This job is no longer available

Atlanta, GA, USA
Full-time

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a Director - Affiliate Experience Center. As HFHI implements an affiliate-oriented approach, one of the most critical elements is communications. In recent years, affiliates have reported being overwhelmed by communications from HFHI, partly because many of the HFHI-provided programs and services have developed stand-alone communication approaches. Going forward, HFHI will streamline communication to affiliates and create an Affiliate Experience Center, which seeks to dramatically improve, streamline, and coordinate how affiliates and State Support Organizations receive information from HFHI. Affiliates will then know where to turn for information and will have increased trust in the quality of that information. This position will lead the new Affiliate Experience Center.

Areas of Responsibility:

The Director - Affiliate Experience Center will be responsible for conceptualizing and launching the new Affiliate Experience Center, which seeks to dramatically improve, streamline, and coordinate how affiliates and SSOs receive and access information from HFHI. This center will coordinate affiliate communications, as well as advise and consult with subject matter experts and the Global Learning and Organizational Development team on how trainings and supports are best delivered to affiliates (e.g., Webinars, manuals, templates, Communities of Practice, etc.), including optimal use of the newly-strengthened My.Habitat).

  • Create a strategy, informed by best practice within and outside the nonprofit sector, for a newly-created Affiliate Experience Center, which will launch in FY20. Strategy to include but not limited to:
    • Intended results
    • Structure and staffing
    • Required infrastructure
    • Multi-year budget
    • Staff accountabilities, i.e. what are expectations for how HFHI teams must communicate with affiliates and what incentives/consequences are in place to support these accountabilities
  • Collaborate with communications and MyHabitat team to pilot new methods of communication to affiliates; track qualitative and quantitative data on these pilots
  • Build strong relationships across HFHI functions (e.g. Communications, Global Learning and Organizational Development, US Office) to support a strong rollout of the center in FY20
Educational Background:
