The ACS Digital Product Manager will develop, execute and support new and existing digital capabilities designed to enhance customer knowledge, engagement and revenue.  Who are you? You’re a visionary who guides new product ideas or features from an initial concept to product launch.  You define product management as the intersection between business, technology and user experience.  And you are obsessed with being the voice of the user inside the business and must be passionate about the user experience.This role will be instrumental in evolving and taking the American Cancer Society to the next level with regards to digital revenue generation and engagement.  You will share your passion for creating best in class products by ensuring a consumer centric approach. You will be responsible for bringing the product to market and driving adoption of it both internally and with consumers. As a digital product expert, you will collaborate with business owners on digital opportunities and innovation to support, enhance, or augment their goals.  You will have experience in product discovery, writing business requirements, testing, deployment, on-going technical support and product marketing.  You will be a key driver in many new digital opportunities’ across cancer.org, Relay For Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and other sub-brands.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product launch and execution
  • Manage digital products from concept development through execution and support.
  • Consistently translate technical details into benefits for the organization and consumer. Where possible, integrate usability studies, external research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction• Define and analyze metrics (KPIs) that inform the success of products
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are needed
  • Create, maintain, and socialize product concepts and roadmaps
  • Develop digital products and platforms with an eye to scalability and organizational platform synergies
  • Develop effective marketing strategies and plans to ensure successful product launch and ongoing adoption. Work with various teams (design, content, media, channel marketing, strategy & planning) to implement and report on success of these strategies.
  • Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns)• Create training materials and training programs for the organization to ensure adoption of product.
  • Follow and analyze market trends to position products more appropriately within unique consumer segments.
  • Fosters collaboration with team members (Engineering, User Experience Designers, etc.) to drive value and collectively identify and resolve impediments
  • Acts as a proponent of modern software/digital development practices
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in marketing, management, and/or engineering.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5-7 years’ experience with digital product management and/or marketing focused primarily in a B2C environment.

Product Management Competencies:

  • Responsible for new features as well as managing the growth and adoption of existing features. As product owner your responsibility begins with the customer and the requirements needed to satisfy the customer.
  • Highly developed communication skills, especially the ability to hold your own in a room full of strong personalities and differing opinions
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with and thorough understanding of Agile development
  • Serve as primary representative for project team and internal stakeholders during development and primary owner of a set of features offered in the current product after launch.
