The Data Quality Analyst will work as part of the Architecture and Data Management Team to ensure the data integrity and data correctness in the structure and content of our CRM, ERP and Application databases.  The Data Quality team serves to enforce data quality standards in completeness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and timelines of data.  The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for the creation, execution, and operation of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality (DQ) within the American Cancer Society.  As a member of the data services team, the Data Quality Analyst will perform data quality analysis in the areas of data modeling, data movement, dimensional modelling and data quality.  The Data Quality Analyst must have technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.  The position requires hands on experience with Informatica IDQ and SQL.  Additionally, the Data Quality Analyst will support data quality initiatives in all aspects of data warehousing.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage key master data management entities for CRM, ERP and application databases
  • Design, develop, and analyze results from data queries to identify data quality issues
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct data profiling and track metrics
  • Coordinate workload, monitor the ticket system and update logs as required
  • Examines existing business rules and applies those in the Data Governance and Data Quality Management function.  
  • Participates in technical design sessions, working with technical resources to provide insight during solution development.
  • Work with cross-functional areas:  IT, Data Architecture, Data Integration, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and business stakeholders
  • Responsible for the design, development and administration of transactional and analytical data structures.
  • Comply with all security policies and procedures.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 3 years’ related experience
  • Hands on knowledge of Informatica Data Quality Tools and other MDM technologies
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience in working in varied source database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.)

Other Skills:

  • Advanced SQL queries
  • Strong knowledge of data profiling and data cleansing using Informatica IDQ
  • Ability to map data processes and understand data modeling
  • Development and Administration of Informatica Data Quality System
  • Strong understanding of Informatica Data Quality System (IDQ)
  • Hands on experience with Informatica Data Quality
