Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is in search of an experienced IT Project Manager to join their team. In this role, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for collaborating with multiple business areas to discover and document how data will fit together throughout HFHI by depicting different business perspectives via the creation, maintainability, validation and sharing different types of data models with various organizational levels. The primary responsibilities of this role would include working directly with the Director of Data Management to create and maintain supporting data artifacts such as the conceptual data model, logical data models and physical data models representing the organization. This position will be based at HFHI's Administrative Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is eligible for HFHI’s full relocation package.
- Develops and collaborates with data management resources to utilize best practices in establishing data standards and naming conventions (entities, tables, attributes, keys, views, indexes, etc.)
- Develops and maintains the enterprise conceptual data model, logical data models and physical data models across the organization
- Administers Erwin (data modeling tool)
- Develops the change control process to manage data model versioning to preserve history of data lineage
- Forward/Reverse engineers to create data artifacts as a representation of the physical data models of new/existing applications identified as business-relevant data
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 5 - 10 years on-job-experience as Data Modeler
- Experience working in a matrixed organization
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, components and principles
- Understanding of the data life cycle
- Attention to detail
Preferred:
- Knowledgeable of DAMA DMBOK2 data modeling & design activities, tools and techniques
- Proven success with creation of CDM, LDM and PDM supporting new projects and BAU activities
- Ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally, to achieve HFHI IT initiatives.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical staff and business users at all levels.
