Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is in search of an experienced Business Analyst to join their team. In this role, this individual will be responsible for working with users to define and document system requirements for new implementations, systems enhancements, and other projects within the Finance Department portfolio of systems. This individual will serve as the SME and point-person for ERP systems and processes, collaborating with functional leaders to identify areas within the business where process improvements and/or technology can lead to increased efficiency and productivity. The role provides analysis of current processes and workflows and will work with the business to suggest improvements. Other responsibilities will include facilitating requirements gathering and design sessions, reviewing design documentation with users and developers, prioritizing system functionality based on requirements, coordinating pilot and test activities, and ensuring design specifications meet systems requirements.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Partner with users to conduct detail analysis and documentation of business process functions within Finance departments.
  • Lead and participate in system conversion, testing and implementation of finance system and enhancements.
  • Analyzes and evaluates existing and proposed systems and makes recommendations for enhancing processes and procedures for solving business problems.
  • Review, analyze, document and evaluate user needs.
  • Develop, lead, and coordinate use case and performance testing documentation.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of system capabilities and department processes to serve as expert user and educator of the ERP system for the finance users.
  • Documents processes and works with supported business areas to grow and expand system solutions, as the supported business area’s needs change and evolve.
  • Manages requirements for projects, ensuring functional scope is maintained and deliverables are aligned with systems and client requirements.
  • Develops test schedules, review testing plans, track and document testing efforts and assist testing efforts where necessary.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis supporting special projects.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5+ years of related business experience, preferably having worked through previous finance system implementation and ERP projects.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word MS Visio.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Flexibility to work on different projects at the same time.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, while meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, while effectively managing time.
