Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking an Associate Director - Donated Product. Donated product for both Habitat’s construction sites and Affiliate ReStores is one of the most critical areas for investment requested by affiliates (per BCG affiliate survey and COM advisory group feedback). Affiliates want volume and an easy-to-use single platform for any donated product. Throughout the current fiscal year, there has been considerable work done to identify and consolidate on one platform (from previous three). The Associate Director will play a vital role in integrating and leading two historically more distinct areas: construction gifts in kind and supplement ReStore merchandise. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Associate Director - Donated Product will facilitate the distribution of donated products to affiliates in accordance with logistical and donor mandated restrictions for both construction and ReStores. S/he will manage the team and oversee the technology platform supporting order fulfillment and logistics for donated products. This team, in turn, will work closely with resource development and their donated product officers.
  • Management of Donated Products redevelopment and maintain efficient distribution model from donors to affiliates
  • Ensure collaboration on Donated Products across departments within HFHI – Finance, IT, RD, Communications
  • Develop and monitor metrics/indicators to analyze efficiencies with placement and shipping
  • Research and develop partnerships with third-party warehousing and logistics to support growth
  • SME to HFHI’s Resource Development team and Donors in securing/placement of Donated Product
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 – 7 years related experience
  • Experience with product management/inventory management software preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and a general comfort level working with technology systems (SharePoint, webpage design and online meeting software, etc.)
  • Proven expertise and demonstrated success in the management and movement of product
  • Team player committed to working collaboratively across the organization
  • Understanding of Habitat for Humanity’s mission and work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organized, strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
