Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a proven and effective leader to join our organization and serve as the Strategy Director. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness, the Strategy Director will be leading HFHI strategic initiatives and providing quality, professional consultative services for all levels of the Habitat for Humanity network. Located at our Administrative Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, this position will be responsible for leading an initial assignment of the HFHI Operational Strategy Initiative and require approximately 25% domestic & international travel. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Lead the implementation of and facilitate the change for one or more organization wide strategic initiatives
  • Lead and deliver all aspects of professional quality consulting for internal divisions, teams or countries in the areas of strategy, business planning, change management and continuous improvement
  • Build organizational capacity for strategy, business planning and change management through excellent processes, tools, training, and coaching
  • Support the Strategy Realization Team’s goal of ensuring the full realization of the HFHI strategic plan
Educational Background: 
Masters Degree (MBA or MPA) or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Skills/Experience: 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of experience in project management, business consulting, strategy or business planning
  • Proven experience and capacity in leading strategy, business planning, change management and/or continuous improvement 
  • Ability to interface with, influence, negotiate with, have candid conversations with and provide excellent service to all levels of the organization (Sr. Leaders, Middle Management, both US and International)
  • Experience and success in working cross-functionally in a multi-national organization
  • Ability to analyze and think strategically about complex problems and propose solutions
  • Project Management experience and knowledge
  • Proven capacity to train, coach and transfer knowledge 
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and respond quickly to changing conditions
  • Must be well-organized and able to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Personal alignment with and lives the mission values of Habitat for Humanity
  • Experience with Habitat for Humanity International operations or equivalent international development preferred
  • Experience in non-profit management preferred
