Reporting to the Project Officer under the technical guidance of the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, the Data clerk will be responsible for data capture, storage and timely sharing of beneficiary information to facilitate execution of various activities. He/She provides general support to the project to ensure smooth implementation of various planned activities.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Ensure proper project beneficiary documentation

  • Assist in preparation and standardization of field tools for data collection.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining a sound beneficiary tracking systems
  • Assist in administration of survey and other project monitoring and evaluation tools.
  • Maintaining and collecting data and updating progress of work plan.
  • Conduct project field site mapping using QGIS
  • Collect and enter into analyzable format the monthly market price information
  • Prepare and validate lists of project beneficiaries

Ensure proper project filing and documentation

  • Ensure all project activities are documented and filed in a proper order
  • Ensure safety and custody of project documents
  • Ensure all beneficiary data is kept in hard and soft copies to avoid loss
  • Support archiving within world vision standards

Data entry and analysis

  • Capture beneficiary and submit database in ODK format
  • Support analysis of routine data indicating trends of performance

Provide General assistance in project implementation

  • Providing assistance in organizing various activities at the field level.
  • Assist in community sensitization and mobilization of various project activities aspects.
Educational Background: 
Minimum of a Diploma in Statistics or relevant field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience in information Systems support to an NGO or equivalent
  • Excellent IT knowledge – specifically in excel.
  • Experience of data management and analysis.
  • Able to proactively identify and address issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with good written and spoken English.
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures.
