The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project planning and execution. Project Manager will partner with the Project Sponsor and Business Lead, providing thought leadership to develop a comprehensive and measurable plan to achieve strategic plan objectives. Project Manager will establish milestones and timelines necessary for successful execution. Project Manager will develop and maintain the project budget, and will identify and procure the necessary resources. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering the intended project scope on schedule and within budget, realizing stated project benefits.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure that projects deliver the specified scope on schedule, within budget, and produce the intended benefits.
- Facilitate the development of project scope, schedule, budget and benefits by understanding Project Sponsor and Business Lead’s objectives and connecting vision to execution.
- Assist in identifying project resources, ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan, using appropriate tools and methods.
- Facilitate changes to scope, schedule, or budget through the Project Sponsor and the Project Management Office (PMO) Governance Committee.
- Track and report out on project progress, performance, risks, issues and dependencies. Work to resolve issues in order to keep project schedule, scope, and benefit on track.
- Maintain relationships with project team members and outside vendors, clarifying and communicating requirements, and delegating tasks.
- Ensure that projects deliver the specified scope on schedule, within budget, and produce the intended benefits.
- Advisor: Candidate must partner with business stakeholders to drive value and results.
- Attention to Detail: Candidate must be able to understand and track meticulous detail while also seeing the big picture
- Project Life Cycle: Candidate must possess an understanding of the project life cycle (scoping, planning, executing, evaluating, deploying) and inspire others to follow it.
- Analyze: Candidate must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to understand dependencies and critical path.
- Leadership: Candidate must lead the team to success by simultaneously inspiring and holding team members accountable.
- Communication: Candidate must be strong communicator, able to connect with all audiences and target messages accordingly.
Educational Background:
Four year college degree or equivalent
Skills/Experience:
- 5-7 years experience
- Facilitation, change management, project management and coaching
- PMP or equivalent experience
- Leadership, adaptability, organizations, discipline, persuasiveness
