Research Analyst, Perinatal Data Center

To support the activities of the March of Dimes Perinatal Data Center (PDC) in collecting, analyzing and interpreting maternal and child health-related data, conducting research and preparing reports. To support the PDC in the development and implementation of mission-related program outcome and quality improvement databases.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide program evaluation and analytic support for multiple program sites under a March of Dimes program on group prenatal care. Attend and facilitate meetings with multiple program stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development of performance measures, evaluation instruments, logic models, evaluation timeframes, and data collection systems and procedures. Establish and maintain processes for integration of program and evaluation data from multiple sources and sites.
  • Support and perform data collection (interviews, focus groups, surveys, document and literature reviews).
  • Summarize findings in table, graphic and narrative form and assist in the development of evaluation reports.
Educational Background: 
A Master’s Degree in public health, program evaluation, public policy or a related field in applied social science. 
Skills/Experience: 

Previous Experience

  • Two to four years of previous work experience in a related position(s) that required use of social science research methods, program evaluation, data management, statistical analyses and/or project management.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Expertise in qualitative social science research methods
  • Extensive skills for program evaluation (i.e. logic model development)
  • Proficiency in use of Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or a similar survey platform 
  • Proficiency in SPSS/SAS, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point
  • Experience with REDCap preferred
  • Experience with AmpliFund preferred
