The Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Media Relations serves to support the development and implementation of marketing strategies and activations for all March of Dimes tent-pole special events, including but not limited to galas, testimonials, MFB community walks, DIY and P2P engagement, in order to maximize participation, audience engagement & revenue.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Strategic Partnership Management

  • Manage campaigns and initiatives involving partners, celebrity and media to execute all logistics and details related to entertainment and celebrity engagement activities on a national level, and provide strategic guidance and coordination for initiatives.
  • Develop, manage and maintain a database of partners, Ambassadors, celebrity and influential supporters, their representatives and keep current on relevant trends, news and insights.
  • Maintain regular contact with partners, Ambassadors celebrity supporters and influencers and work to develop compelling “asks” to support March of Dimes campaigns, events and initiatives.
  • Creative writing pertaining to informing constituents and the entertainment and sports communities about March of Dimes activities.
  • Work to develop evaluations of Ambassador/celebrity supporter activities, entertainment partnerships and influencers.

Media Relations

  • Support media outreach efforts in support of plan set by the Communications Director and Senior Director of Brand Activations/PR.
  • Work to identify target media outlets through research and regular new monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Marketing team to learn of key programmatic wins and other organizational news to pitch.
  • Develop media story ideas and craft pitch notes to conduct outreach to targeted media for key stories.
  • Work in coordination with PR agency and other partners.

Reporting & Trending

  • Regularly communicate plans and set expectations with executive and leadership teams as well as other stakeholders
  • Stay current on trends, competitive landscape insights and best practices in event marketing; convert insights into actionable recommendations for MarCom as well as Revenue Development.
  • Collaborate with project management team to ensure timelines and goals are met
Educational Background: 
Four year college degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 to 7 years experience
  • General work experience
  • Progressively Responsible Experience
