Overview for this position:
- Manages the development and implementation of integrated marketing and communication strategies and ensuring that AICR’s digital efforts meet the marketing, branding and supporter engagement objectives.
- Works collaboratively to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated strategies for education, research, communications, advocacy, and fundraising activities
- Has experience creating and executing video content, managing social media platforms, launching email marketing campaigns, and handling website content.
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills
- Monitors digital performance, benchmarks and industry standards
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide reports, analysis, evaluation and recommendations for website activity/engagement, e-mail & social media campaigns and other digital activities.
- Manage Search Engine Optimization with external agency and communicates with other vendors.
- Develop and manage calendar for content creation, campaigns/programs, and metrics to drive awareness and lead generation efforts
- Understand the customer journey and discover new opportunities to increase reach to new customers through our channels.
- Create content for, monitor and update web pages using content management system (word press)
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to help develop website content that aligns with organization’s needs
- Produce high quality e-communications and marketing materials, including e-pubs, e-mails, visuals, and videos
- Streamline production of e-mail marketing program
- Collaborates with Development on peer-to-peer fundraising
- Write and develop social content to drive loyalty to the mission and organization – coordinate across departments to incorporate applicable content – comms, brand, direct marketing cause campaigns, program advocacy, network – and curate for optimal engagement and action via social platforms.
- Manage the social media marketing strategy across all social media properties
- Monitor e-mail and social media marketing trends & best practices. Update social media guidelines & best practices for comms work
- Serve as social media expert to inform digital influencer engagement strategy
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum three - four years’ experience in digital marketing/social media management
- Four-year degree in marketing or relevant field
- Proficiency in website content management systems
- Proficiency in e-mail marketing software
- Excellent verbal, written & proof -reading skills. Strong writing style
- Experience in social media platforms – FB, LI, Instagram, Sprout social,
- Experience with google analytics and google ads
- Understands messaging to any audience
- Proficiency in organic search and experience in paid search preferred
- Experience in writing for science and/or health a plus
- Knowledge of fundraising a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, providing great attention to details in all work products
- Experience with graphic designing or infographics (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Eventbrite, etc.)
