This role will support the President in managing daily tasks in order to run the March of Dimes. This includes managing all calendar items, meeting coordination, travel logistings and support materials. This position handles details of a highly confidential nature, takes initiative and exercises independent judgment.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensure smooth performance of the daily operations for the President.
  • Manage all calendar items for the President, including but not limited to: internal/external meeting requests, travel, speaking engagements, media opportunities, etc.
  • Take the initiative to troubleshoot calendar-related conflicts for the President and coordinate with the Chief of Staff and President on solutions.
  • Manage collection and dissemation of agenda items for the President’s weekly meeting with the Executive Leadership Team, as well as other priority meets for the President.
  • Develop and manage a system of review to prioritize incoming communications including invitations and meeting requests.
  • Ensure urgent and priority correspondence and matters are communicated in a timely and effective manner to the President. 
  • Assist in the management of communication to the National Board of Trustees, and the execution of quarterly Board meetings.
  • Develop, gather and create presentations for intenal/external presentations inclusive of managing and overseeing all edits, proofing and formatting. 
  • Prepare and organize all briefing material and itineraries for all meetings.
Educational Background: 
Four year college degree or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 to 10 years administrative support experience with previous experience supporting an executive
  • Advanced knowledge of Office Suite – primarily Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Conversant with mobile technology and social media platforms/applications 
  • Ability to produce an excellent work product under firm time constraints; prioritize and manage multiple, simultaneous projects and assignments. 
  • Strong ability to work independently and within a team environment, resourceful, organized, self-starter with excellent relationship building skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, strong prioritization and time management skills, diplomatic and adaptable to changing situations and priorities
