The treasurer position is responsible for corporate liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company's financial activities.
Liquidity analysis:
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings,
- Maintain banking relationships. Work on bank consolidations and Treasury model to best use funds coming in and to provide the largest return.
- Maintain credit rating agency relationships
- Arrange for equity and debt financing
- In charge of all retirements plans and have experience with reducing liability associated with a defined benefits plan as well as managing a defined contribution plan, 403(b) and 401(k)
- Monitor the activities of third parties handling outsourced treasury functions on behalf of the company
- Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning
- Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities including cash handling.
- Assist in bringing up new Accounting software designing the Treasury model into the process flow.
- 8-10 years experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, plus 10+ years of progressively responsible treasury experience for a major company.
- Should have a thorough understanding of liquidity analysis, investments, bank account management, pension fund management for both a Defined benefit and a defined contribution plan as well as a 403(b) and a 401(k).
