Reporting to the AVP Corporate Engagement, the Account Director is responsible for managing a team of Account Managers as well as a portfolio of priority national corporate partnership accounts in support of the Foundation’s fundraising priorities and mission initiatives. Responsible for leading team renewal efforts of approximately $15 million dollars.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for managing a team of Account Managers as well as a portfolio of priority national corporate partnership accounts in support of the Foundation’s fundraising priorities and mission initiatives.
- Lead team in annual renewal efforts of approximately $15 million dollars.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, develop, execute and maximize strategic plans within area of corporate support for assigned corporate partners ensuring activation plan and revenue performance metrics are met. ; provide regular report analytics and updates to account team and leadership
- Manage development of individual account execution plans for assigned priority partnerships; work collaboratively with Director of New Business Development, Marketing partners and other key partnership stakeholders (national, regional market office staff) to lead the account planning, execution
- Ensure implementation of plan strategies and contract deliverables within account-specific fund-raising, communication and mission initiatives, working seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders; responsible of managing the communication cycle among all partnership stakeholders
- Proactively and continually monitor company's business climate, brand/business objectives, philanthropic initiatives and customer interaction; identify growth opportunities and/or partnership enhancements to maximize revenue potential
- Understand and effectively communicate [internally and externally] March of Dimes policies and standards within corporate partner framework, including legal guidelines, restrictions and commercial co-venture regulations
- Support March of Dimes Account Management standards and procedures to seamlessly implement the Account Management model to improve and maximize internal communication methods
- Establish and maintain productive, collaborative and professional working relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts (both internal and external)
- Other Duties: Perform other duties from time-to-time in order to ensure the attainment of department goals.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and/or directly related professional skills and experience
Skills/Experience:
- Previous Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of direct work related experience in positions with demonstrated success in account management and corporate relations. Candidate must have a strong understanding of corporate landscape, communications/marketing attributes and demonstrated ability in developing relationships that foster commitment and growth. Strong presentation and proposal development skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Internal candidates must identify how they have supported, helped cultivate and built [internal relationships] for the benefit of the organization. Must have staff management experience.
- Physical Demands: May involve lifting and carrying boxes; may involve traveling by car or plane to meetings and training.

- Travel: Up to 15% regional/national travel required
