To provide administrative support to the Chief Medical Officer and others as assigned, and to serve as the administrative point person for the Office of Mission Impact. This position will be located in the Washington, DC area.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Coordinate meeting scheduling, travel, and calendar for Chief Medical Officer. Serve as the administrative point person for the Office of Mission Impact. Screen and answer telephone calls, place calls, follow-up on calls and direct calls to appropriate party. Set-up meetings, keep records of minutes and attendees at meetings, basic typing, correspondence, e-mail, organizing and presenting various types of information. Provide support for the following important deliverables: reports, tables, charts, and speeches/speaking notes for both internal and external audiences. Design, format, assemble and update quality PowerPoint and other presentation materials. Produce written reports for distribution and visual aids and other business communications. Maintain and manipulate data in excel worksheets, etc. Ensure the CMO has all briefing materials and background information for scheduled meetings and calls. Gather this information from other staff as needed, and organize it into one easy-to-use file. Maintain filing systems. Process invoices and expense vouchers. Manage workflow, and make independent decisions in the absence of the CMO, as appropriate. Complete other administrative duties as required.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience required. Fully proficient in the full range of the Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet as a research tool. Advanced PowerPoint skills and intermediate/advanced Excel skills are required for this position. Ability to produce excellent work product under firm time constraints; prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous assignments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; solid proofreading and grammatical skills. Ability to organize files and materials according to office needs. Ability to organize and/or arrange travel meetings, agendas, work flow in an efficient manner.
