To manage Healthy Kitchen Operations, logistics, procurement, distribution and stock maintenance for the Project. Making arrangements for office supplies, including warehouse management in Azraq camp. This role will play a critical part in managing and shaping the Healthy Kitchen Meals distribution to the Schools in Azraq Camp. The job holder will work alongside the Working Group and UN lead agency on the day-to-day planning, coordination, distribution and reporting on Project deliverables to identified beneficiaries towards achieving WVI objectives. The candidate will also actively participate Working Group Meetings.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Manage the Healthy Kitchen Project Team in the Camp, IBVs/ Kitchen Workers, oversee stock level and warehouse management of program and office supplies in the camp.
  • Manage and supervise Kitchen Workers for all Kitchens in Azraq Camp.
  • Coordinate with WFP, UNHCR, UNWOMEN and SRAD for the day to day operations in the camp an identifying Cash for work IBVs for Healthy Kitchen Project.
  • Responsible for arranging the Logistics arrangement for the Project including obtaining entry permits for the Camp.
  • Ensure timely hiring of the Cash for work Staff for the smooth operations in the Camp and ensure all the requirements (Medical certifications) are being done on time for the staff.
  • Ensure that procurements are done on timely basis for the successful implementation of the Project.
  • Outline the distribution methods, accounting for items distributed, and preparing distribution reports.
  • Participate actively in the Working Groups and coordination meetings in the Camp and bring up all the successes and challenges faced in the operations of the Project in Camp.
  • Participate in needs assessments and contribute to the development of the response plans.
  • Communicate the needs identified by the Project Team to support the Project implementation, program and office supplies sourcing and/or stock release.
  • Agree with Project manager on the Project implementation and Food required for the Production of Healthy Kitchen Meals.
  • Oversee operations in the Camp and implement staff training programs to facilitate Successful Project delivery.
  • Liaise with SRAD and WV Security Department to inform them about the Project operations and activities in the Camp, distribution processes, locations and plans.
  • Ensure humanitarian and Sphere standards are met in the Project implementation.
  • Liaise with WFP for the Warehousing facility for the Project and warehouse operations are conducted as per defined policies and standards.
  • Responsible for receipt, safe keeping, dispatch, handling and management of the project resources.
  • Coordinate Purchase requisition planning and coordinate with procurement department through the process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as the main focal person in the field for the WVI Jordan. Maintain respectful and constructive relations, and ensure regular meetings and ongoing coordination

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Maintain open and professional relations with other Projects, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions. 
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, probations reviews and annual performance reviews. 
  • Capacity Building of WV Staff and Kitchen workers.

Staff Payments:

  • Ensure timely Payments of the Kitchen Workers on Monthly basis.
  • Keeping Track record of the work sheets, Attendance and other related documents necessary for the payment Process
Educational Background: 
Degree/diploma in logistics, supply chain management or related technical field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in humanitarian aid delivery, logistics or supply chain management.
  • Experience in working in Azraq or Zaatari Camp.
  • Experience working in various technical sectors of humanitarian response such as WASH, shelter, health and protection.
  • Experience in working with non-food and food commodity programs. Solid humanitarian field management knowledge and skills.
  • Working knowledge of emergency disaster response operations.
  • Proficiency in both English and Arabic
  • Professional membership of a recognized international supply chain / logistics institute.
  • Training and experience is using word processing, spreadsheet and database computer applications. This includes extensive training on WV’s Non-Food.
  • Tracking System (NTS) used for tracking and reporting on NFI distributions.
