Project Management and Coordination:

  • Assist Field Coordinator in the implementation of WFP-Healthy Kitchen Project in the Zaatari Camp. Managing IBVs/Kitchen Workers, Oversee stock control and availability of all the required food and nonfood items, supervise and manage the production and distribution of meals/Datebars.
  • Provide Support and Assist FC in the coordination with WFP, UNHCR, UNWOMEN and SRAD for the day-to-day operations in the camp identifying CFW IBVs for Healthy Kitchen Project.
  • Ensure that the daily worker attendance is maintained and supervise in the kitchen.
  • Ensure that all the required records are updated on daily basis.
  • Ensure the required and timely procurement of all goods for the implementation of the project.
  • Ensure that all the HACCP standards are followed during the production and distribution of Healthy Meals.
  • Ensure all the required permits are in place required for the implementation of the project.
  • Assist FC in the successful operation of the project in the camp following organizational standard operation procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to Data and Admin officer in-order to raise and submit the PRs for all the required goods to project officer and keep regular follow-ups with Project Officer and Procurement department on the timely delivery of supplies.

Staff Orientation and Development:

  • Guide the Field Monitors in-order to follow the Food Programming standards during the implementation of the project.
  • Ensure that staff in the camp is submitting the monthly LDRs and other relevant report to respected departments on timely manner.
  • Assist FC in the capacity building of the WV staff and kitchen workers and ensure that all the required and relevant information is shared with staff for their record.
  • Maintain a respective relationship among the project staff and workers and ensure all the required coordination is maintained.

Reporting and Information Sharing:

  • Ensure the timely submission of the required reports to FC and Project Manager.
  • Ensure the attendance in the weekly project meeting and share the project updates for the week passed and action points and plan for the up-coming week.
  • Ensure timely sharing of all the relevant information with project manager and FC.
  • Ensure the submission of daily workers attendance is maintained and shared with the Project Officer for timely worker’s payment.
  • Ensure that all the required record’s formats are available in the kitchens.
  • Follow ups with Data and Admin Officer to ensure the required supplies are in place.

Distribution Management:

  • Ensure that the meals/datebars are distributed to the children attending schools on daily basis with quality.
  • Assist the FMs to ensure that all the required documentation and processes are followed during the distribution of meals/datebars.
  • Supervise and facilitate the cash distribution in the camp and ensure that the operation is not disturbed due to on-going distribution to the workers.
  • Ensure crowed control during the distribution of cash in the kitchens.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor. 
Educational Background: 
The holder of this position must have a minimum of a diploma/Higher secondary school certificate.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Very comfortable supporting project team
  • Be proactive and anticipate emergencies.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Conversant in English
  • Must have strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with an attention to details.
  • Requires strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and management.
  • Must be able to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Requires the ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks.
  • One year experience in Food Programming or WFP project
  • Work experience in the implementation of the WFP project in the Syrian refuges camps
