Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is looking for a skilled Data Entry Operator to join our Finance department. Data entry is all about speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. A data entry clerk enters information into computer databases for effective record keeping.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Setup and post pledges and pledge payments
  • Receive and post donor gift information and mailing information
  • Transaction or account reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance
  • Make any name and address corrections that are received from donor or returned mail
  • Add names to the general mailing list
  • Maintenance mail code field based on donor requests and returned mail
  • Enter attribute codes
  • Set up relationships between accounts
  • Maintain affiliate, in-field personnel, HFHI directory, and Campus Chapters information
  • Perform general clean up maintenance to the data base
  • Sorting and coding incoming mail
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Educational Background: 
High School Diploma or GED
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-2 years related work experience
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM
  • 10-key calculator skills
  • Ability to identify unusual transactions
  • Ability to familiarize oneself with the organization's more complex data input, beyond direct marketing input (i.e. Global Village, Gift-In-Kind (GIK), Matching Gifts, Pledges and Pledge payment, as well as White Mail
  • Ability to answer any entry-level working knowledge

Preferred:

  • At least 1 year of college
