Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a skilled hands-on Accounts Receivable Accountant. This position will be located at our operational headquarters in Americus, GA, and will required no travel.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Invoicing of various HFHI programs and other non HFHI entities
- Preparing monthly and one time ACH payments for HFHI programs and non HFHI entities
- Working with program staff to resolve billing issues, and process sales credit when needed
- Reconciling the account receivable ledgers to ensure all invoices and payments are posted correctly
- Providing finance support for the Global Village (GV) Department
- Analyzing issues and resolve independently, or escalates issues to supervisor when needed
- Identify areas, research, and make recommendations
- Analyzing effectiveness of KPIs
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Skills/Experience:
- 2 years related experience
- Working knowledge of advanced accounting
- Familiar with FASB pronouncements and US GAAP
- Team player
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office application (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to respond appropriately to questions/concerns in regards to HFHI accounting processes and procedures
- Working knowledge of accounting system and sub-ledgers
- Knowledge of Accounting and banking systems
- Analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle a large number of transactions
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information and meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to efficiently use accounting software (i.e.: Navision), and, SalesForce
