Office Manager

We are searching for an Office Manager who will ensure that all aspects of the logistics and administrative needs required to support event priorities and fundraising staff are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • providing effective supervision of the event administrative support teams in Albany and Poughkeepsie;
  • providing administrative and logistical support to fundraising directors for events assigned to you;
  • supporting the planning and execution of events in the territory;
  • coordinating logistics at up to two assigned events;
  • recruiting and supervising volunteers for fundraising events;
  • providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors for Albany;
  • administrative and data management ensuring accurate and timely information is available to the team.
Skills/Experience:

  • having a college degree or some college is helpful, but at least a high school diploma or GED is needed;
  • having 2 years of administrative support experience with at least one year of experience supervising administrative support staff is important;
  • you should have the ability to work effectively with administrative staff, managers, and volunteers, including diffusing and handling employee relations issues;
  • you can handle confidential matters with discretion;
  • having excellent verbal and written communication skills is very important;
  • you have experience in organizing, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment;
  • prior experience coordinating the work of subordinate staff;
  • proficiency in using Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • experience with Publisher and other graphics programs, internet and database applications is important to have;
  • you are willing to work outside standard hours including evenings and weekends as needed in support of meetings and events;
  • willingness and ability to travel to other affiliate offices as needed for meetings and training.
