Summary:Oversees Field Human Resources day-to-day operations and employee relations activities.
Basic Responsibilities:Under general direction, oversees Field Human Resources day-to-day operations and employee relations activities. Provides leadership to Field Human Resource Directors, including but not limited to consultation and knowledge in areas of hiring/termination, corrective action, complaints, policy interpretation and implementation, affirmative action, harassment, external education, and career development. Through Field Human Resource Directors, manages employee communications, employee safety and health, and community relations. Partners with HR Administration to improve the implementation of organization programs, policies, practices, and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, and 12+ years related experience and/or training
- PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM CP-SCP Certification required
- 5 – 7 years’ experience directly managing filed HR generalist
- Experience leading and developing HR professionals in a decentralized work environment
- 30 – 50% travel within the Southern California region required
- Knowledge and experience with employment law, employee relations, managing performance, and assessing talent
