SENIOR MANAGER - CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS
Location: Based in Colombo with extensive travel
Job Profile
As a part of the Corporate Partnerships, Innovation & Public Engagement Unit this position will play a vital role in developing appropriate strategies & mechanisms to enhance the World Vision Lanka(WVL) corporate funding portfolio, consistent with WVL, Partnership and Regional Policies, Guidelines and Objectives. The role will provide critical support to the Director – Corporate Partnerships, Innovation & Public Engagement in strengthening his/her ability to engage all stakeholders effectively, and will support all other key ministry areas for effective & quality program implementation. He/she will develop people/teams to enhance & diversify WVL funding streams through innovative & collaborative projects/programs, & help enhance its image and corporate brand equity among its stakeholders & potential partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership in acquiring new & sustainable Corporate Partnership opportunities, within the framework of the WVL national strategy to meet its program priorities & funding requirements
Provide leadership in developing organizational capacity for effective local fundraising & establish diversified funding streams to meet the funding needs of WVL
Contribute to the development of a Business Plan for WVL’s National Resource Development (NRD) strategy & develop policies & procedures for same.
Cultivate good working relationships between WV Lanka and local stakeholders, including potential donors/Agencies , the corporates, NGOs, IOs, agencies, media & academia
Be a key partner in the development and implementation of local fund-raising strategies and public engagement initiatives to expand WVL's reach and branding
Understanding of and commitment to World Vision’s Core Values demonstrated in the approach to work and relationships.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Degree in Business Economics, Development, Non-profit Management or other applicable field is essential; MBA, MPA, MPP, or other post-graduate education preferred
At least 3 years’ working experience in a similar role, preferably in INGOs, NGOs, Bilateral donors
Demonstrable prior successes in grant submissions/acquisitions Essential
Experience working with government/institutional partners – potentially gained through a consulting company, international or community development organization or government agency Essential
Good project planning & ability to lead project teams & work in achieving given deliverables
Strong English communication and presentation skills(Essential), local language preferred
Highly critical, creative and innovative thinking; Essential
Good IT skills with ability to work well with MS Office Suite
Understand WV vision, mission an WV partnership operations Essential
