The primary function of the Salesforce Manager is to serve as the Salesforce Subject Matter Expert for United Way Worldwide Digital Services group and the United Way network and to develop and roll out strategies for best practices regarding configuration and use of Salesforce solutions and apps to the United Way network.
The Salesforce Manager will demonstrate knowledge and acumen specific to understanding underlying client business problems and developing Salesforce technology-enabled solutions that addresses the needs of large organizations, including how to implement technology solutions to help streamline organizational needs and meet industry-specific compliance standards and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
- Serve as the Salesforce Subject Matter Expert for United Way Worldwide Digital Services group and the United Way network. Develop and rollout strategies for best practices regarding configuration and use of Salesforce solutions to the United Way network. Consult with the local United Way affiliates on CRM selection and use
- Manage the bi-directional synchronization of local United Way data with the shared Salesforce instance using data integration/replication software, Information.
- Help develop data models, standards and data governance for use with United Way Network’s collective use of Salesforce
- Research and maintain knowledge of relevant third-party tools to be used in conjunction with Salesforce
- Handle all Salesforce related Support Tickets. Act as liaison between United Way and Salesforce Premier Customer Support services.
- Develop and execute workshops and classes, along with required documentation/presentations
- Work with key stakeholders in analyzing business requirements, documenting those requirements as necessary to ensure complete coverage, outlining the development tasks required, planning and supporting Quality Assurance testing and confirming migration of items to the Production instance.
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency in Salesforce configuration
- Monitor technology implementation to ensure business requirements are being met.
- Continually recognize the need for flexibility and an understanding that objectives are subject to change
- Continually challenge himself/herself to think of the end user and to identify issues specific to system functionality
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent
- Experience, training or education in Business Systems Development and Analysis
- Salesforce Administrator Certification(s) required
- Informatica Development and Operation experience a plus
- Oracle SQL experience a plus
- Data Integration experience a plus
- Knowledge of the Sales, Customer Operations and Service process
