To lead the annual workplace and community giving fundraising teams to support the mission of United Way of Palm Beach County.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Supervise personnel and systems for the Major Gifts (community giving and affinity groups) and Resource Development divisions.
- Grow and steward relationships to support UWPBC’s mission through individual/community gifts and workplace campaign funding sources.
- Manage major gifts program, including cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of existing and new major gift donors.
- Oversee Planned Giving Program including Planned Giving Advisory Group, Donor Advised Fund, and strategies to secure planned gifts.
- Oversee Affinity Groups to ensure donor growth along the continuum.
- Manage Tocqueville Society major donor program including management of Tocqueville Society Co-Chairs and Cabinet.
- Provide strategic leadership to organization working with Community Impact to provide customized investment options for donors.
- Oversee management of corporate fundraising initiatives which includes workplace campaigns, corporate gifts, corporate special events and sponsorships.
- Manage Resource Development Committee and work with CEO to ensure that all fundraising goals are met or exceeded for all areas.
- Oversee/ensure that the President & CEO is prepared for major donor appointments and campaign presentations.
- Prepare and present fundraising goals and progress to Board of Directors and strategic partners as needed.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of ten years of leadership experience in fundraising including planned giving and/or major giving and corporate relations/giving.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience working in a team environment, facilitating groups, and working with leadership volunteers
- Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience being flexible to change and working and solving problems independently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
