The Specialist, Award Compliance Operations ensures awards are set up accurately and efficiently in Save the Children’s financial system and supports the award setup and startup processes, ensuring clean award data. The Specialist also provides compliance oversight for a portfolio of non-award and non-traditional funds.
Areas of Responsibility:
Award Setup (50%):
- Ensure records are accurately set up and modified in Save the Children’s financial system (Agresso) by working closely with the Coordinator, Award Systems and the Grants & Contracts team to draft and review new and modified awards in Agresso;
- distribute award startup data to relevant stakeholders and facilitate required startup conversations
Award Data Quality (25%):
- Assess award data quality within AMS & Agresso, flag issues, and ensure corrections are made as needed;
- flag opportunities for training and capacity building for stakeholders
Award Administration (25%):
- Support assigned non-award and non-traditional award portfolio;
- review proposals, awards, modifications and other related award documents when applicable;
- provide feedback and identify risk factors;
- liaise with relevant stakeholders in Award Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Operations, and External Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy, as necessary; perform other duties as may be required
Educational Background:
High School diploma or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience
- Experience with financial records maintenance (data analysis/quality)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for key SCUS donors (USAID, Global Fund, UN, Gates Foundation, USDA, BPRM, etc.)
- Experience with award management, award compliance and/or non-profit financial management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
