Janitorial Assistant, Part Time, 12 Hours/Week

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, theJanitorial Assistant is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of floors within Easterseals buildings and community work sites. Must be skilled at using cleaning equipment including, but not limited to, mops, buckets, brooms, vacuums, floor waxing and buffering machines, extractors, etc…Must be able to work on feet for majority of work day, sweep, mop, use floor machines, and other duties as assigned. Job requires standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs or more

Basic Responsibilities:Ability to operate

• Power floor cleaning machines
• Backpack and upright vacuums.
• Mops, brooms
• Equipment and boxes of supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Other equipment as directed.

Qualifications:

• Prior maintenance and janitorial experience desirable.
• Ability to use floor cleaning machines
• Reliable transportation to work site.
