• Responsibilities Must deliver services in various environments, such as homes, schools, homeless shelters, street locations, etc; diffuse crises, evaluate nature of crises, and intervene to reduce the likelihood of a recurrence; ensure linkage to needed community services and resources; arrange, coordinate, and monitor other services on behalf of the individual; monitor and manage the presenting psychiatric and/or addiction symptoms; provide self help and living skills training for youth; provide mental health treatment for the youth or other family members as directed by the Team Leader; provide parenting skills, training to families to help build skills for coping with the youth’s diagnosis; work with caregivers in the implementation of home-based behavioral supports. Submit paperwork to ensure authorizations and other supporting documentation. Each IIH staff member will rotate a crisis phone. Documentation is submitted weekly noting interventions that support the Person Centered Plan for appropriate record keeping. Ability to work evening hours and possible weekends.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 2 years experience post graduate in mental health, substance abuse or developmental disability with a human service degree OR 4 years experience post graduate in mental health, substance abuse or developmental disability with a non-human service degree and 1 year documented experience working with children with mental health diagnosis.
