Save the Children has recently launched an Incubator and Accelerator for Social Enterprise Development and Social Impact Ventures. These are part of the Agency’s new strategic platform and an increasingly important approach to how we deliver results for children and their families. The fellow will work with the Head of the Social Enterprise and Ventures team as well as colleagues in our International Programs, other departments across the Agency and select country offices, to support the implementation of our three-year strategy including pipeline and business plan development. Specific projects and assignments will be dependent on the fellow’s prior experience with and exposure to the Social Ventures and Impact Investing sector.
- Mapping of venture philanthropist and private sector actors interested in social investments and entrepreneurship development
- Landscape analysis of social enterprise in select countries/markets in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean
- Business plan development for social enterprise concepts in the book publishing and nutrition sectors
- Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Currently eligible to work in the U.S.
