The Education Impact Coordinator will play a key system leadership role on the Ogden United initiative team and will work in conjunction with Ogden School District, Ogden CAN, and other partners to significantly improve the education outcomes of children, youth, and families in Ogden. The Coordinator acts strategically to create and execute the coordination and alignment of education focused partnerships to achieve desired population outcomes. Additionally, the Coordinator serves as liaison for sustained partners who have been identified to support this work. We seek a knowledgeable, energetic, and dynamic team member to direct the continued development of this work within the cradle to career pathway.
Impact Committee Development and Facilitation
- Act as the ‘backbone staff’ for the work of the education workgroups/committees by providing daily oversight for planning, organizing, and facilitating / co-facilitating monthly meetings.
- Will also include community presentations with the creation and coordination of technical materials for such presentations.
- Serve as a visible community leader through regular interactions with key community leaders, agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate system change through meaningful action.
Recruit, orient, and engage committee members.
- Work with the co-chair of the education workgroup to facilitate meetings and guide members/community partners in generative conversation to align services, develop and implement new strategies, and identify needed system change, policy action, etc.
- Help communicate workgroup/committee efforts to the United Partnership Council (local leadership body) and Promise Partnership Regional Council (regional leadership body)
- Implement Results-Based Leadership competencies including Results-Based Accountability, Adaptive Leadership, Results-Focused Facilitation, Continuous Improvement, and Equity Mindset.
Strategy Development and Implementation
- Ensure work groups/committees are identifying and working toward shared short- and long-term outcomes through agreed upon goals and objectives. Update the coalition and work groups/committees action plans at least annually. Work with partners to facilitate action between meetings.
- Facilitate and guide coalition members to work in a results-oriented framework with the Research and Evaluation team to develop and implement appropriate strategies, indicators, and relevant outcome measures to inform the work.
- Collaborate with United Way’s community partners and Research and Evaluation staff to develop and implement evidence-based community-level strategies to improve the outcomes of children and youth.
- Serve as key point of contact and liaison with strategic partnerships and partner agency Directors/Managers on matters related to Ogden United.
- Work in collaboration with other team members to strengthen new partnerships with additional stakeholders such as businesses, non-profit organizations, and public programs.
Other Duties
- Attend other local, regional and state level meetings and/or trainings as requested.
- Participate in meetings related to fundraising and sustainability of the initiative with corporate, foundation, and government representatives as well as individual donors.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Master’s degree in education, public administration, public policy, social work, human services or related field
- Five years of professional work experience in a relevant position(s)
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Experience in program design and implementation with a demonstrated track record of successful results for programs
- Familiarity and experience working within the landscape of education, health, community development / social services networks
Salary: $41,000 to $50,000 per year
