Oversee the production of clear, effective communication pieces that support UWHC’s mission and vision through implementation of the annual marketing plan. Maximize public visibility and manage projects effectively to meet strong deadlines.
Areas of Responsibility:
- IMPLEMENT MARKETING PLAN. Working cross departmentally and with outside agencies to effectively execute and track the plan.
- STORYTELLING. Know UWHC’s value proposition to our donors and residents and effectively communicate that through story, statistics, and use of United Way Worldwide materials.
- ADVERTISING PROJECTS. Manage print, digital, radio, video, and social media with consistency across various media.
- PRINT MATERIALS. Create collateral print materials for the organization and its departments. Coordinate advanced materials with a graphic design consultant.
- SOCIAL MEDIA. Create and implement consistent and brand centered pieces for social media and monthly newsletters, creating a human-centric approach that evokes trust, collaboration an innovation
- WAREHOUSE. Develop a warehouse of written and visual content for use across UWHC
- WEBSITE. Keep website current. Develop new content and graphics. Search Engine Optimization.
- DIRECT AND CAPTURE photography and videography as needed.
- MANAGE BRAND IDENTITIY. Develop concepts and messages consistent with our branding, creating authentic relationships between our brand and our consumers.
- EDITTING. Duties require attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, reliability, timeliness. Requires ability in verbal and written expression, creativity.
- Ensure all marketing projects and activities are carried out in a cost-effective manner.
- ASSIST in event planning and other office needs
- Other duties as assigned
Educational Background:
BA or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience:
- Strong professional writing capabilities
- Proven ability in project and time management
- Must be able to work cooperatively and flexibly as part of a team
- Computer and IT Skills:
- Proficient in the latest Microsoft Office Environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and QuickBooks.
- Exposure to Adobe products is a plus
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Detail-oriented with editing and proofreading skills
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of United Way
- Ability to work well with others; attitude/desire to work as a team member
- Personally aligned with UWHC’s mission in our community.
- Staff who drive a vehicle on UWHC business must provide proof of a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
