Territory Fundraiser/Youth Market Director

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Territory Fundraising/Youth Market Director for our Youth Market program serving the Atlanta West territory. The territory includes: Haralson, Heard, Carroll, Coweta, Polk, Floyd, Chattooga, Bartow, Gilmer, Pickens, Forsyth, Dawson and Gordon counties. The candidate must reside within the territory.

Areas of Responsibility: 

NOTE: This is a work-out-of-your-home position that requires daily travel throughout the designated territory.

  • Works with school-based coordinators, to raise funds through our school based educational fundraising programs.
  • Attend and speak at kick-off assembly events at schools holding the fundraisers.
  • Will act as the American Heart Association liaison with schools in the territory and is responsible for achieving income and school recruitment goals through the management of existing customers, and prospecting and cultivating new school accounts.
  • Maintain and track all related fundraising data
  • Coordinates, plans and implements activities and resources necessary to achieve campaign goals and fundraising objectives in the assigned territory
  • Recruit volunteers to develop and manage school-wide events
  • Build relationships and provide support to volunteers in each school
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned geographical territory
  • This position requires you to be in the territory 90% of the time and will cover approximately 145 schools.
Educational Background: 
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in territory sales and/or nonprofit fundraising
  • Ability to set and exceed aggressive dollar goals using his/her skills and abilities in customer relationship management
  • Proficiency with MS Office, excellent communication skills, and outstanding time and territory management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management
  • Ability to plan and work independently
  • Highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Individual must reside in the territory
