This position has a net fundraising goal of $450K and the Development Director will have responsibility for the entirety of this goal.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Revenue generation for the Oklahoma City Go Red For Women event by making sales calls on mostly new and some existing customers.
  • Working in a dynamic, competitive and results-driven environment.
  • Prospect, cultivate and close new business through cold calls.
  • Capable of developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors and other employees within assigned companies to drive revenue results.
  • Setting goals with companies and motivating employees to achieve those goals through Go Red For Women fundraising inside the company.
  • Unyielding dedication to follow through and achievement of goals.
  • Some event management and logistics.
  • Networking within the local area to both help recruit and retain our valued volunteers.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree as follows: 1 ½ years’ experience equates to 1 full-time year of higher education.
Skills/Experience:

  • Must have at least two years of experience in fundraising or outside sales in an environment requiring cold calls and new business development. This experience may also count toward satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
  • You will want to have demonstrated success in achieving assigned sales or fundraising revenue goals;
  • You should accomplish results through both strong volunteer recruitment and management as well as personal activity. You should have a proven track record in meeting sales goals.
  • It’s important to have excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and social skills.
  • You are a self-starter who makes things happen.
  • Your experience in understanding and navigating corporate cultures to achieve goals will be invaluable.
  • You are willing to work outside of standard hours in support of your events, sponsors and volunteers including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • You are results driven, able to multi-task and willing and able to travel within the assigned territory in OKC area up to.
  • You have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • You have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office 2010 used for word processing, email, presentations and spreadsheets.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
