Looking for a career that makes a difference in the lives of others? The Easterseals Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Program Coordinator with excellent leadership, communication, & organizational skills to join our Community Living Services/Waiver Division.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of CLS, including person-centered client programming and staff management.  

Position Type: Exempt, Full Time based on 40 hours per week

Schedule:  Must be able to work a flexible schedule when the clients & staff are working in the residences to include all shifts to ensure safety, consistency and quality of training programs.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • File & follow up on Incident Reports
  • Prepare & present QA/QI report monthly
  • Supervise QDDP’s & Managers
  • Attend all client IST meetings
  • Ensure programming meets/exceeds standards
  • Other duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Have a B.S. Degree in Social Services or related area.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license & valid car insurance and provide proof as needed.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, & organizational skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Obtain/Maintain CPR & 1st aid certification
  • Have at least 2 years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. 
  • Complete Medication Administration Training
  • Must pass company physical, drug screen and TB test

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent sitting within the office
  • Routine walking
  • Frequent bending
  • Frequent keying on computer
  • Frequent communication on the phone
  • Ability to assist clients in activities including kneeling, crouching, reaching & bending.
  • Ability to lift & transfer, with assistance, individuals who weigh up to 250 pounds.
  • Ability to push large adults in wheelchairs.
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds routinely.

Preferred:

  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Experience with IDD population a plus
