The United Way of the Coastal Empire is seeking a team-oriented Controller to steward the financial assets of the organization and supervise and maintain the daily operations of the Finance Department. Responsible for overseeing the organization Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, Information Systems, and building maintenance, the ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and experience in all areas of accounting (i.e., A/R, A/P, general ledger, trial balance, including subsidiary ledgers, and financial statements) as well as payroll regulations, including all federal and state returns. Candidate must be highly organized and computer literate, knowledgeable in general and financial software programs with experience in MIP and Andar software preferred. Knowledge of state and federal human resource regulations as well as demonstrated success in coaching and developing a team for optimal performance. Five years of accounting experience and a minimum of two years in management required with nonprofit experience desired.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor degree required with an Accounting major preferred.
