The VISTA member’s service will be focused primarily on our prosperity-related activities and programs, which all alleviate poverty. The VISTA will coordinate our Kids in Coats Fund activities, which include outreaching local referral sources, application data entry, communication with participating stores, and evaluation of the program. For our free income tax assistance services, the VISTA member will be a key liaison to business partners, the community, and service providers to increase utilization of these services among the income-eligible. For the Summer Food Service Program, the VISTA member will become a member of the Hunger Council subcommittee and help plan/implement a kick-off event, increase resources for the program, and deepen our network of summer food collaborators. The VISTA will also be assisting with UWWC organizational outreach and marketing, such as website updates, blog posts, and social media.
