Philanthropy Coordinator

Fulfills a critical role by working to ensure successful, efficient processes within Philanthropy operations team.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Contribute to the timely preparation and mailing of donor acknowledgment receipts and letters.
  • Coordinate follow up needed for donor escalations, monitor the inbound escalation traffic.
  • Assist in producing information for gift processing audit(s) and for specific inquiries.
  • Review for accuracy activity entries and workflows for the call center.
  • Perform data integrity projects as assigned such as updating constituent accounts for address, email, phone and other data elements.
  • Proactively produce CRM data integrity reports to either disseminate or resolve.
  • Provide support to operational tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, calendaring, meeting prep, routine check request processing, processing of returned mail and ordering basic office supplies.
  • Assist gift management in the review of imaged donations to identify handling needed to ensure a good donor experience.
  • Accurately process caging rejects as directed by the Manager, Gift & Data Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-2 years professional / internship experience – work in fundraising operations a plus

  • Collaborates Internally and Externally – Ability to collaborate across a variety of internal leaders as well as partner and engage across various departments as needed.

Required Technical Competencies and Experience

  • Self-motivated and able to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with great attention to detail
  • Must be accurate, well organized, and a self-starter
  • Must have strong computer experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
  • Willingness to investigate issues and follow through to resolution.
