United Way of the Coastal Empire (UWCE) is seeking a Vice President of Community Investments to help advance our mission of improving lives through the leadership of community and organizational investment in programs, services and agency capacity. Position works with key stakeholders to develop the strategic direction, long-range investment strategies, and alignment of people and resources for the achievement of measurable, positive outcomes in the priority issue areas of health, education, and income stability. Requirements include excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to lead, collaborate, and build trust among diverse community, business, governmental, agency, donor, and volunteer groups. The ideal candidate is outwardly focused, able to share power and decision-making, effectively lead change, and inspire team-work and action in others. Must be highly organized, able to plan and think strategically, use sound judgement, and exhibit ownership for decisions, actions, and results achieved. Must be adaptable and innovative with a strong sense of integrity, handling sensitive data with discretion, maturity and judgment; consistently acting with integrity and ethics to foster trust at all levels. Position is responsible for development and management of the department’s goals in support of the organizations strategic plan, recruitment, training, and development of the Community Investment staff and volunteers, and management of the department budget and expenses.
